Gallery, Festival, & a Big Move

There is a TON going on in my life right now! Please bear with me if communications are slower than normal, it's a lot to keep track of...

First off, in case you missed my last post, my painting "Pins & Needles" was invited back for a second round of the exhibit "If You Only Knew". This time it is being shown at the Freeport Art Museum in Freeport, Illinois. The opening night was a hit, and the show will run through November 3 this time. For more information on the museum and the exhibit, visit www.freeportartmuseum.com, and if you make it out, snap a picture with my painting and share it on my Facebook page, I might just have a special gift for you if you do! ;)

Next up for big news in my life! I will be teaming up with Christie Grace again to sell awesome art this weekend in Wisconsin Dells at the Wo-Zha-Wa Fall Festival. We will have loads of originals, prints, jewelry, and more. It should be a great weekend, so definitely stop by to say hello and support a bunch of talented indy artists. Don't wait until the last minute though, I'm told that it's not uncommon for artists to sell out at this show! You can find more info at www.wozhawa.com.

Last, but certainly not least... the big move. I know I've mentioned it to some already, but I wanted to make an official announcement. As of October 12, I will no longer be a full time artist at A Dead Anchor Tattoo. I will still be available during guest spots to finish existing work, touch up finished pieces, and to take new works. I am incredibly grateful for all that I've learned over the last 2+ years with this crew, and for the friendships I've made, both with coworkers and clients. You guys have all kicked ass! After a year and a half of doing the long distance thing, my boyfriend and I have decided that it is time for me to make the move up to Sparta, Wisconsin. I have no plans of abandoning my tattoo career, and until I'm settled into my new spot I hope to schedule a couple of guest spots, design lots of flash, and work on pieces that some of my very best clients have been patiently waiting for. You may have noticed too that I now have a shop on the website... it IS live, but I plan to continue to fine tune it, particularly in regards to shipping options so keep an eye out for updates of all kinds over the next few weeks and through the end of the year.

Thank you so so sooooo much to everyone who has helped me grow to where I am, for all of the cool art you've allowed me to put on your bodies for forever, for the stories you've shared, and the friendships I've gained. And thank you to everyone who will stick it out through this big change, you guys are the effing best! <3
